The civil works to support phosphorus removal as part of the Water Industry National Environmental Programme (WINEP) and manage the quality of treated water being discharged to local watercourses, including the following:
- RC hardstanding and retaining wall to construct the new chemical dosing area
- 2100mm dia. interceptor chamber
- MCC base with trough for cable entry
- 11m diameter RC final settlement tank
- All interconnecting ductile iron pipework and drawpits / ducting for the power and telemetry.
We had an unannounced visit from Southern Water PM, Assistant PM, and Process Engineer, who did an audit of the Thorne Paperwork also did a walkabout site with Michael and Beth and myself.
They were very happy with the paperwork, all in order, also were delighted with the site safety, and general site tidiness.
This a reflection on the excellent leadership team your company has provided and great team work on site.
